New Patients

New Patient Special: $119 includes x-ray, exam and adjustment!

Generally you can expect to complete a full medical history questionnaire and "new patient" paperwork. You will then consult with Dr. Pokorny. This consultation is your opportunity to express your health concerns and expectations, and to ask any questions you may have.

Dr. Pokorny will answer your questions and explain his role in your health care and discuss your health prognosis. A physical exam will be performed which may include orthopedic testing, reflex assessments, muscle testing, and a specific Chiropractic evaluation. If you have medical records or x-rays from other physicians, please bring them along.

In some cases x-rays may be necessary to determine an exact diagnosis. Dr. Pokorny will go over the results of the exam and x-rays with you. Then, depending on your situation, the doctor may give you an adjustment and/or begin physical therapy, if needed. Adjustments shouldn't be painful, although you may feel some discomfort until the pressure in the joint is relieved. Depending on your condition, a followup visit may be scheduled.

Appointments at our office typically begin with a bit of paperwork, as you no doubt would expect. Your skilled chiropractor will perform a physical examination, and take any necessary x-rays to learn more about the cause of your pain. We’ll also discuss your current condition and your goals.

We will take a look at the overall results, and, together, come up with a plan of action specifically for you. We will talk about the type of treatment you will be receiving, any preparation necessary before beginning treatment, and when you can expect to see results. We will also discuss any lifestyle changes that may help you with your goals. As your partner in improving your health, your chiropractor will be with you every step of the way during your treatment.
